Jim Gordon knows real estate
He's been the managing broker from the inception of the company, which opened for business Jan. 13, 1987 as RE/MAX Ocean Pacific Realty. The Comox Valley office was founded by four salesmen formerly with Block Bros./NRS.
In Sept. 1994 Jim and Dave Procter bought out the other two shareholders and formed a dynamic new partnership. Jim took on the role of full time sales manager for the company and Dave concentrated on his personal real estate sales.
With the growing demands of a successful and busy real estate company Jim concentrated on his management role, and in recent years the emphasis has been on hiring and training new younger real estate agents to make a smooth transition for the baby boomer sales realtors as they retire.
The company has grown to 63 realtors in two great locations with market share ranging from 35-43%. Office awards that Jim and Dave were delighted to be honored with include:
• RE/MAX Western Canada - Broker Owner of the Year Single Office 1997
• RE/MAX International - Top Office in Number of transactions for small market 2000
• RE/MAX Western Canada - Broker Owner of the Year Multi Office 2007
